👤 Antichrist Dreams
While in South Africa in 2005 I had a dream that literally shook me to my core. The subject of that dream was the Antichrist. It was so terrifying that I didn’t speak about it for a long time, nor have I ever mentioned it publicly. I was so afraid back then that I never even wrote it down. Thankfully, the dark impression it left on my mind is merely a residue today, and the rawness of what I saw and felt has faded in my memory over time. However, nearly 20 years later in 2024, suddenly and unexpectedly I have received another dream about the same biblical figure. It makes me think that this topic is more pertinent today than ever.
I want to preface this post by saying, I do not spend my days thinking about the Antichrist. Far from it, in fact. I became exasperated long ago with all the theories and speculation in the church regarding his identity and time of arrival. I was even skeptical that the subject was relevant for our time, seeing that every christian generation seems to believe they are the one to witness his appearing. Yet, as I find myself writing about this notorious adversary, a feeling of consternation is with me because I’m forced to ask myself, Why now? I worry that these prophecies are closer to being fulfilled than I had previously considered. Let me begin by sharing the first dream that I received in 2005:
💭Dream #1 · June 2005 · Mark-Alexander
I was somewhere like a church, and all around me were Christians raising their hands in worship, gleefully and ecstatically shouting out praises, saying things like “Hallelujah!! Thank you, Jesus! We love you Jesus! You are worthy!” At first glance it seemed that nothing was amiss because these were typical things to see and hear during a lively church service. However, as I was observing those around me with the eyes of spiritual discernment, it produced an overwhelming and utterly gut-wrenching sense of dread. The scene provoked the sudden realization that, among all of those people in the room, I was the only one who knew the true identity of the one they were worshipping: the Antichrist. They were calling him Jesus, they acted like Christians do, yet they were all hopelessly deluded. As I continued to scan my surroundings in horror and disbelief, I saw at the front of the room, some kind of platform like an altar, and upon the altar were small skeletons of human infants laid out across it. Before I had time to consider their meaning, I woke up.
I wept profusely the night of that dream because I had never felt such strong emotions before. It was so terrifying that I couldn’t even go back to sleep. Years later, when certain so-called revivals would sweep across America and the world, I would feel something similar to how I did in that dream. It was a mixture of shock, disgust, and trepidation. The Lakeland Revival and its counterfeit miracles, numerous imposters and extortioners on the Christian TV Channels robbing the saints, and strange doctrines that had crept into the church…these all reminded me of the intensely negative emotions I experienced in that dream on a stormy night in 2005.
Since then I have reflected on its possible meaning. I remember that I didn’t actually see the Antichrist in the dream, so perhaps he only existed there in a spiritual sense. After all, the bible does speak of the spirit of antichrist, which is “already in the world”. But then I wondered if maybe the dream did concern a literal person, only that I wasn’t permitted to see him at that time. He could have been “off-screen”, so to speak.
According to my understanding, the scriptures mention the spirit of antichrist; also antichrists in the plural, (which are a sign of the last time); and finally a singular antichrist who comes in the future. As the years went by, I came to see the dream as referring to the spirit of antichrist, which is a counterfeit of the spirit of Christ and operates through false ministers to deceive Christians into giving Satan glory.
⏩ Now we come to June of 2024, nearly two decades later, and again I found myself dreaming about this figure, and that cryptic ‘mystery of iniquity’. This time, however, there was one important difference. I actually saw the Antichrist in my dream, and he appeared to be a physical person. I want to stress that this particular topic hadn’t been on my mind at all - I had not been studying about the Antichrist or anything end-time related. Nevertheless, I went to bed as usual and the Antichrist made his debut appearance to me in my dreams. Here is what I wrote in my journal in the entry of Thursday 6th June 2024:
💭Dream #2 · 6th June 2024 · Mark-Alexander
I was somewhere and had come into possession of some money. Immediately I gave a donation of a million pounds before I had time to think about it. Later I discovered that a man had stolen money from somewhere and a woman announced it to me. I wanted to know who the thief was but the woman was refusing to describe the man to me. Eventually she did. She said he was almost crawling on all fours, as if he had no legs. Later I heard from someone that he was the Antichrist, and that he was disabled. Later still, someone told me that he was here in the building, in the other room. I was in a public place somewhere with lots of people and I stood up and started walking towards the other room to go and see the man, but just before I reached the double-doors, someone entered through them into the room where I was standing.
The man I saw was low to the ground and he was moving in a strange way, being disabled somehow. His legs didn’t work; they were either semi-amputated or lame. He had people surrounding him who were his friends or entourage. He seemed very popular and people liked him, almost because of his disability, like it was fashionable to be his friend. When I saw him I felt extremely uncomfortable. He was very ugly and the way that he moved was disturbing and unnatural. He was repeatedly circling an area surrounded by people sitting on chairs. He looked foreign in his appearance and might have been in some kind of vehicle. I was avoiding him each time he made his circuit.
There were announcements made whenever he appeared, so that people could move to a safe area. I ran and climbed up onto the roof of a building to move away from the area where he was present. It seemed like people had no discernment, and they were deceived into having compassion on the man, simply because of his disability. I was telling [my Christian brother] about it but there was some miscommunication. He thought that I had said something unkind to him, but that wasn't the case. Later we were back to talking again, but over the phone this time. I was hiding from the Antichrist while I was on the phone to [my Christian brother]. Then he told me that he needed to go because his battery was dying.
Afterwards, while I was still fleeing and had traversed a long distance, I found myself walking through a safe region. It was a peaceful place that I had never been to before, and it was far away from where the Antichrist was.
-End-
I have contemplated this dream quite a bit. Surely it is all symbolic, someone will say. Actually, no I don’t think it is. I think this dream literally concerns the Antichrist prophesied in the bible. Or at least, the Antichrist for the age that we live in. I know some people won’t be able to receive that, but I think it is important for me to say it outright.
My Prophetic Musings on the interpretation:
I believe this revelation concerns events in the near-future. At the beginning of the dream when I receive the money; I believe this to be prophetic because a ministry team recently prophesied that I would receive a large sum of money. In the dream, when I immediately give money away, this recalls how I acted in the past when I received a substantial sum in an inheritance. I quickly donated a portion to charity before I was tempted to spend it. If I received any money again, I would likely do the same. The windfall being represented in the dream would be a significant event in my life, therefore it likely serves as a timing indicator. What I mean by that is, after I receive a large sum of money in my life, I will know that the other events from the dream will be set in motion.
Interestingly, the Antichrist is also mentioned in relation to money at first. However, in contrast, he is presented as a thief, and when I seek to uncover his identity, the woman is reluctant to describe the man. The sense was that, it was not politically correct to draw attention to the fact that he was disabled. She did not want to state the obvious because she felt like people would perceive her to be rude or bigoted. It was like it was against her progressive values and it was initially quite difficult to compel her to give a straightforward description of the man.
When the Antichrist enters the scene, he appears disabled in some way. I wrote down that he was in a vehicle, but in my memory I see it as some kind of crude wheelchair, like a cart or plank of wood with wheels. I don’t believe the Antichrist will literally be in a wheelchair or vehicle, but rather that it symbolizes his ‘disability’ or immobility. He was very low to the ground, possibly representing a false kind of humility or appearing humble to others.
When he enters the room, he slowly travels in circles around the room with his entourage, almost like he was doing a tour of some kind. There were people sitting on chairs in the room observing. I got the impression of there being a large number of people present, an amount similar in size to those attending an important public event that receives lots of buzz and attention. He continually performed some kind of circuit, whatever that symbolizes.
In the dream I remark that he is foreign. I do not believe this refers to ethnicity but I consider it to be how my spirit discerned his spirit. In other words, he is not like us. He is not Christian. There is something distinctly unsettling and alien about him spiritually.
There were certain safety zones that people could travel to, and someone was making regular announcements, like over a loudspeaker. It seemed as though these were being given to discerning Christians, and not generally. They were like news updates and directions for the discerning people to follow.
When I’m speaking to my Christian brother on the phone, he has to leave because his battery is dying. This seems to represent him struggling to endure the situation. Maybe the battery dying is a warning for people not to grow weary, but to press on. I remember spending a large amount of time in the dream fleeing before I reached the safe zone.
“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”
So those are the dreams. Will we see the Antichrist in our generation? Is he already here? I used to think not, but after having this recent dream, I have changed my mind. I believe that the time is either upon us now, or will be very shortly. I just get this sense that soon it will no longer be a case of theory and bible study, but events will actually unveil before our eyes in real-time. And I think many believers will be blinded or miss their significance. We may have to adjust our perspective and shake ourselves out of the ruts we have been lying in.
Remember how in the time of the Lord Jesus, when he was in the flesh, the Jews were hoping for the manifestation of their long-awaited Messiah, yet he was literally walking among them the whole time. The majority were completely oblivious to it. To them, the Messiah was always a figure coming in the future. They strongly maintained that Elijah must come first, but Jesus informed them that Elijah had already been and gone.
With regard to prophecy, at some point the future becomes the present. Things that will be fulfilled become fulfilled, and when that happens, all the things that Jesus prepared us for will have to be put into their rightful application. It’s like a group of soldiers or police officers training for a terrorist attack situation; to them it is always theoretical, it’s always a threat, it’s always a rehearsal, it’s always a training exercise…except suddenly it isn’t. Suddenly it becomes reality. And there is a rude awakening because it always comes at a time when they least expect it.
“Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.”
I’m thankful that the dream ends on a positive note. It tells me that Jesus, the Holy One, will guide the faithful by his voice to safer quarters. How and why the Antichrist is such a threat to us was not revealed to me in the dream, but Christians will be persecuted in some way, no doubt. Like the announcers in the dream, I believe voices will be raised up across the Body of Christ to direct the true believers to their appointed safety zones.
In the Bible, Timothy speaks of the “Mystery of Godliness”. He says that, “God was manifest in the flesh [as Jesus of Nazareth], justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
The Antichrist represents the opposite principle, the “Mystery of Iniquity”. Here, Satan is manifest in the flesh, he is condemned in the spirit, seen by all but discerned only by those with eyes to see. He is believed on throughout the secular world, and he is ultimately destined for perditon. His appearing will be terrible to those who know the truth.
The scriptures also speak of a third manifestation in the future, one that Christians can look forward to. Titus says concerning this second coming of Christ:
“…Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. - Titus 2:13-14📖
Our saviour sacrificed his life for us, to redeem us from ALL iniquity. That is, both iniquity within our own hearts and generations, as well as the mystery of iniquity, where Satan is manifest physically. Therefore we do not have to fear, we just have to follow the Shepherd’s voice in this hour. Yes, God will deliver us from Satan, the Wicked One, in whatever form he takes. Amen.
